Funeral Services for Fred Mordorst Held Here Today

Funeral services were held this afternoon from the Yocom chapel for Fred J. Mordorst, who passed away suddenly Tuesday morning from a heart attack while shaving. He was 67 years of age, and died at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Mordorst, with whom he had made his home since July. His health had been poor for some time.
Born Oct. 3, 1867, in Marne Holstein, Germany, he came to America in 1897. In 1917 he entered service with the United States war department, and served overseas. Before coming to Marion he was employed in the aresenal at Rock Island.
Services were conducted by the Rev. C.E. Krog, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, at two o'clock, and interment was in Oak Shade.
