Dora M. Dennis, 90, of 1290 8th St. and a resident of Marion for the past 60 years, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, March 18 in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
She was born the daguther of Henry and Marie Collon Mordorst on Sept. 9, 1885 in Linn County. On May 3, 1916 at Marion, she was married to Wesley E. Dennis, who died Oct. 8, 1951.
Surviving is a nephew, Jack Mordorst of Marion; a great nephew, Bill Mordorst and a great niece, Kim Mordorst. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Schriner, Anna Mordorst and Margia Mordorst and a brother, Jack Mordorst.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20 at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Otto Zwanziger. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
