Henrietta K. Schlueter, 92, of 1485 Grand Ave., died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 1996, in Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, St. Johseph's Catholic Church, Marion, by the Rev. Phil Gibbs. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 tongiht at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, where a wake service begins at 7 p.m.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Johnson of Marion and Paula Lapp of Cary, N.C.; a son, Richard of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two sisters, Emma Castle of Jefferson City, Mo., and Helen Nalley of Solon.
Also surviving are three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Johnson.
Henrietta was born Feb. 21, 1904, in Solon, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Brock Krob. SHe married Frank W. Schlueter there on May 30, 1933. He died in 1988. Henrietta was an elementary schoolteacher [sic] for more than 20 years, teaching at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Marion and St. Jude's Catholic School in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Marion.
A memorial fund has been established.
