FUNERAL MRS. BLACKFORD WAS HELD YESTERDAY

Brief funeral services for Mrs. Edith Blackford, who died late Friday, were held at the home Sunday afternoon, a large company of friends attending. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery. The Rev. M.r Colvin of the Baptist church was in charge of the services.
Mrs. Blackford was born in Lawrence county, Ohio, May 2, 1890. When she was twelve years of age, she moved with her parents to Illinois. In 1903 she was married to Frank Langley, who died a few years later, leaving her with two children. She came to Linn county and on Dec. 28, 191?, she was married to Hubert Blackford.
She was an untiring worker for the Red Cross, an active member of her rural club and of other activities in which she was interested. She was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by her husband and three children.
