Milo Joseph Tlusty, 90, formerly of Western Springs, Illinois, and a resident of the Meth-Wick Community in Cedar Rapids, died at his home on Saturday, April 26, after a lingering illness.
Services were held on Wednesday, April 30, at Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer officiated. Burial followed in Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Glady; and nieces and nephews {omitted for privacy}.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerome; and a cousin, Lucille Berry.
Milo was born the son of Joseph and Mary Hammersmith Tlusty on Aug. 28, 1906 in Cedar Rapids. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Iowa in 1928. On July 14, 1934, he was joined in marriage to Gladys Frederick in Iowa City. For 35 years, he was an accountant with the Illinois Central Railroad. Milo was a member of First Congregational Church in Western Springs, Illinois.
A memorial fund has been established. Services under the direction of Murdoch Funeral Home.
