Cris Frederick 81, died Sunday at 4 p.m. at the family residence at the northeast edge of Marion, after a brief illness. Mr. Frederick was born March 24, 1858, in Denmark, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frederick. He came to the United States in 1879, living at Racine, Wis., for five years. He lived for a time at LeRoy, Ill., then moved to a farm on the Alburnett road, where he resided until he moved to Marion in 1916. He was married Sept. 22, 1892, to Minnie Anna Shubke at Bloomington, Ill. He was a member of the Marion Methodist church. In addition to his wife he is survived by four sons, Fred F. of Cedar Rapids, E. Frank, Elmer G. and Charles W. Frederick of Marion, and a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Frederick Tlusty of Chicago. There are nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 at the Yocom chapel in charge of the Rev. E.T. Gough and burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
