Minnie A. Frederick, 91, a long time resident of the Marion community, passed away Wednesday morning, June 30, at Western Springs, Ill. where she had been making her home with her daughter since 1952. She was born July 8, 1873 at Bloomington, Ill. the daughter of Fred and Fredericka Gielow Subke. On Sept. 22, 1892 she was married to Chris Frederick at Bloomington. In 1902 she and her husband moved to a farm about five miles north of Marion on the Alburnett Road. Later they lived on an acreage next to Indian Creek Country Club. Mr. Frederick passed away at his home on Aug. 6, 1939.
Mrs. Frederick was a member of the First Methodist Church of Marion and Marion Chapter #183 O.E.S. Surviving are a son, Frank Frederick of Marion and a daughter, Mrs. Milo (Gladys) Tlusty of Western Springs, Ill.; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Clara Schroeder of Bloomington, Ill. She was preceded in death by three sons, Fred, Elmer and Wilmer.
Services were held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by Rev. Lloyd C. Kellams. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery.
