Teresa Anne (Cook) Kuiken, 35, of Marion, died Sunday, November 5, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Per Teresas wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include her husband, a son,and two daughters; her parents; her brothers and sisters; a grandmother; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dog Caita [names omitted for privacy].

Teresa was born the daughter of Vernon H. and Carolyn R. (Vojt) Cook on September 29, 1971, in Cedar Rapids. On March 25, 1998, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, she was united in marriage to [private]. Teresa was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with degrees in history, anthropology and archeology.

Teresa did research for the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. Her area of expertise was the Highlands of Scotland.

More than anything else, Teresa was very proud to have been a mother. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
