Rites Tuesday for Claude Beiber, 76
Claude E. Beiber, 76, of 855 Seventh avenue, a lifelong resident of Marion, died Sunday morning at University hospital in Iowa City.
He was born in Marion June 22, 1888, and on April 26, 1916, was married to Louise Simmons. She died three years ago. Mr. Beiber was a retired employe [sic] of Iowa Manufacturing Co., and for many years had a barber shop in Marion.
He is survived by a brother, Wesley Beiber, McFarland, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Lulu Straka and Mrs. Mabel Wightman, both of Marion.
Services: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch chapel, conducted by the Rev. Herbert Kohl. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. this evening.
