Funeral services will be held for Mary M. Mentzer Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the LaFayette church and burial will be in the cemetery there, The Rev. William Wilson will be in charge of the services.
Mary M. Mentzer was born in Franklin county, Pa., Aug. 14, 1851 and died Monday, Feb. 16 at 8:50 p.m. at her home near Toddville. She came to Iowa from Pennsylvania in 1865. She was married Nov. 27, 1867 to James Mentzer and to this union were born a son Curtis M. Mentzer and three daughters, Mrs. Charles Ida Miller, who lives at home; Mrs. Charles Crouse of near Toddville and Mrs. Charles Lyman of near Alburnett, all of whom with her husband survive. She is also survived by one brother, Joseph Singer of Franklin Grove, Ill.
