Obituary of Henry Tamblyn.
Henry Tamblyn was born Sept. 8, 1883, at Bancroft, Iowa. He also lived at Norway, Iowa, but when about 14 years old he moved wit his parents to a farm near Fairfax.
Last Oct. 11 he met with an accident while at work and suffered from a broken ankle. As the hurt did not heal he went to Galesburg, Ill., with Mr. and Mrs. F.R. Conklin. About three weeks ago he entered the hospital in Galesburg where he died.
Mr. Tambln [sic] became a member of the Methodist church in Fairfax in 1910. He was also well known in Masonic circles, being a member of Lodge Fidelitas 364 of Fairfax, was secretary of the Fairest chapter, O.E.S., a member of the Iowa consistory No. 2 and a member of El Kahir temple.
The funeral services were held from the home conducted by the Rev. Gilbert Chalice of West Union, and assisted by the Rev. Mr. Cannon of Fairfax. The Masonic brothers had charge of the services at the cemetery.
