Harley Reynolds, 55, former resident of Marion, died Tuesday at his home in Edgewood following a six months' illness. Born in Marion Aug. 31, 1887, the son of Davis and Martha Ann Maddox Reynolds, he had lived here until five years ago, when he moved to Edgewood to enter the restaurant business.
Mr. Reynolds was married to Ethel Smith in Marion May 17, 1910. For a number of years he was night ticket agent at the Milwaukee depot and also was employed in the Bismark recreation parlors. He was a member of the Marion Methodist church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Fensterman, La Porte City; Mrs. Blanche Perrinjaquet, Edgewood, and Mrs. Bernice Tallman, South America; a son, Harley R. Reynolds, j., Marion; his father, Davis Reynolds, Anamosa; five sisters, Mrs. Mable Sharp, Oak Forest, Ill.; Mrs. Harmie Norton, Anamosa; Mrs. Ethel Daws, Mrs. Hazel Harden and Mrs. Stella Collins, Marion. He also leaves three grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Yocom chapel in Marion at a time to be announced later.
