Robert D. Harden, 58, of 1365 Meadowview Dr., and a long time resident of Marion, died Feb. 27 in a Cedar Rapids hospital. He was born the son of Peter and Hazel Reynolds Harden on Jan. 27, 1919 at Marion. Mr. Harden served with the U.S. Army in World War II and for many years had been employed as a chef.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. George (Elizabet) Wiltsey and Mrs. Marilyn Shefelbine, both of Marion; and a brother, Kenneth Harden of Manchester, N.H.
Memorial service and committal was 1:30 p.m. March 2 at the Marion Christian church in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Anthony. Mr. Harden was cremated and interment will be held at Oak Shade cemetery at a later date. There is no visitation. The Murdoch funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
