Twelve classmates of Miss Alice White, 14, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. White, _ _ _ Daniels st. who died July 13, acted as honorary pallbearers at the funeral, white was held last Friday in the Beatty chapel. Members of the city fire department, where Mr. White is employed, served as active pallbearers.
Alice was a 9th grade student at Franklin school. She died at the University hospital in Iowa City, where she had been receiving treatment for a brain tumor.
Rev. W.A. Montgomery, pastor of the Daniels Park Presbyterian church, had charge of the funeral services. Interment was in Shiloh cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. White desire through The Tribune to thank all those who assisted them during their bereavement.
