Kenneth W. Walters Sr., 54, of 406 1/2 Sixth St. SW, died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, in Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Turner Chapel East, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Survivors include a son; his mother; his stepmother; and a brother and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his father and three brothers, Davie, Joey and Ray.

Kenneth was born June 2, 1944, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Raymond and Mary Walters . He was a self-employed carpenter and worked at Chuck and Dale's Bar and Grill as a cook.

A memorial fund has been established by the family.
