The Rev. Ernest E. Russell, 66, pastor of the First Nazarene church here from 1928 until 1938, died Friday in Canby, Minn., where he was pastor of the Nazarene church. He was born in Oskaloosa May 27, 1897, and was married to Ethel Stevens on Sept. 24, 1919. He attended Central college at Oskaloosa and had been in the ministry ever since.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Clair Trimble of Marion, and Mrs. Edward L. Range of Minneapolis; a son, D. Eugene Russell of Denver; a brother, Dr. Paul Nelson Russell of Santa Barbara, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
Services: First Nazarene church at 3:30 Monday by the Rev. Forrest E. Whitlatch and the Rev. Clayton Bailey. Burial: Shiloh cemetery, Hiawatha. Friends may call at Beatty-Beurle's after 7 p.m. until 11 a.m. Monday.
