Verle Richard Pence, a former resident of Cedar Rapids, died at Four Lakes, Wash. Monday. Mr. Pence was an employee of Wilson and Co., for 12 years before moving to Four Lakes five years ago. He was born Dec. 28, 1893, at Lafayette. Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Charles, of Iowa City, Raymond, of Spokane, Wash., Clarence and Robert Pence, both of Four Lakes; two daughters, Doris Ann Jedlicka of Toddville, and Betty Lou Degler of Four Lakes; twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services: Turner chapel east at 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial: Shiloh cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 5 p.m. Thursday.
