From the Wed. Jan. 25, 1899 Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette:
At 1:15 this morning occurred the death of Mrs. Mary Morris, widow of Richard Morris, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. W. Wright, five miles north of the city, at the age of 78 years. The deceased is survived by on other daughter, Mrs. Sarah Andrews. The funeral will be held at the residence at 11 o'clock Friday morning; interment at Shiloh cemetery.
