Gertrude Glass Mills, widow of Sidney J. Mills, 118 Sixth street NE, practical nurse and a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital at 5 a.m. Monday following a brief illness. She was born May 26, 1878, in Linn county.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Mae Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. C.R. Medd of Moline and Miss Irma Lucille Mills, address unknown; three sons, Walter Ray and Robert Daniel Mills, both of Cedar Rapids, and Sidney J. Mills of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Eliza Burgess, of Cedar Rapids, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Mills was a member of the Methodist church and the Townsend club.
Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Shiloh cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
