Funeral services were conducted in the Yocom chapel last Monday afternoon for Mrs. Harry Scott, age 37, who died at her home near Walker last Friday at about 5 a.m. following an illness from pneumonia. The Rev. W.E. Fisher, pastor of the Presbyterian church, conducted the sermon. Interment was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
As Grace Goodyear, Mrs. Scott was born at Linn Grove in 1894, where she spent her early childhood. She was married to Harry Scott of Marion and to them were born two children, Doris, who is very ill with influenza, and Wayne.
Mrs. Scott was a member of the Presbyterian church of Marion and was actively concerned with numerous of the church organizations.
Surviving are her husband, two children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Addison Goodyear, four sisters, Mrs. Edith Cartmeal, Miss Irene Goodyear, Mrs. Alice Taylor, and Mrs. Lizzie Filloon, all of California, and three brothers, Ray Goodyear of Iowa City, and Robert and George of Marion.
