Mrs. B. Frank Mentzer, 78, of Almond, N.Y., died Sunday morning in a Hornell, N.Y., hospital.
She was born Mary Ellen Certain, May 22, 1870, on a farm a mile and a half northwest of Marion on the Alburnett road, the daughter of Wilson and Mary Jane Cooper Certain. She was married Sept. 4, 1893. The Mentzers lived in New York for more than 25 years. Mrs. Mentzer was a member of the Church of God.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Fay Ormsby of Almond, a grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Ida B. Michel of Marion. The body will arrive in Marion Wednesday afternoon and services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Yocom chapel. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
