MRS. MARY MARTIN DIES AT AGE OF 97
Mrs. Mary Baer Martin, 97, died Wednesday at Mt. Morris, Ill. where she had been a resident the past 14 years.
Born Sept. 13, 1974 in Abbotstown, Penn. She was married to Harry Martin on Jan. 19, 1895 in Cedar County.
The couple farmed near Marion. She was a member of the Robins Church of the Brethren until moving to Cedar Rapids in 1927. She had been a member of the Church of the Brethren 78 years.
She is survived by a son, Robert of Mt. Morris, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Miller of Cedar Rapids and three grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Morris, Ill, at 10 a.m. Friday morning and graveside services at Oak Shade cemetery in Marion at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.
