Donald Clifford Wilkes, 69, of 814 Vernal st. NW, a Cedar Rapids and Marion resident 46 years and an employe [sic] of the Eagles club, died at 2:50 p.m. Monday after a lingering illness. Born Dec. 31, 1890, at Centerville, he was married to Dorothy Ida May Stewart at Fairfield on March 25, 1910. Surviving are his wife; 2 daughters, Mrs. John Benters and Mrs. Lester Sykora; 2 sons, George and Jerry; a sister, Mrs. Ezra Baker of Aberdeen, S.D., and 3 brothers, Myron, of Portland, Ore., Cyril, of Omaha, and Keith, of Rapid City, S.D.
Services: 1:30 Thursday in the Turner chapel by Dr. Arthur Schuldt of St. James Methodist church. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the chapel
