L.E. Sandstoe Dies, Services Are Tuesday
Leonard E. Sandstone, 68, formerly of 1090 Sixth street, and a Marion resident the last 25 years, died Saturday, in a Cedar Falls nursing home.
Born Oct. 19, 1906, at Renwick, he had been employed by Allis Chalmers Co. for 12 years, retiring in 1962. Mr. Sandstoe had previously been in the grocery business. He was a member of the United Methodist church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Tom Stelzer, Anamosa, and Mrs. Eugene Toton, Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, a brother, Ingwald, Beaman, and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Kock, Gladbrook.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Shade cemetery in Marion by the Rev. Glen Lamb. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel.
