Mrs. Hazel Bragg Dies After A Long IllnessMrs. Hazel Newman Bragg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Newman, 391 South Eighteeneth street, died Saturday at 11:30 p.m. at the age of 23 years, 9 months, and 23 days, at the family home. She was born October 21, 1896, in Marion, and has lived here all of her life. She was a member of the Christian church, the Grace H. Starr Missionary circle and the Philathea Sunday school class. She was married March 15, 1916, to Albert Bragg. She has been ill for ten months, two of which were spent in a hospital at Cedar Rapids.
She had the influenza in the fall of 1918, the effects of which she never recovered.
Funeral services will be held at the Christian church at 3 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. William Barth, and burial will be in Oak Shade.
