Mrs. May Phelps, 61, Dies At Central City
CENTRAL CITY-- Mrs. May Phelps, 61, died Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Phillips, in Central City. She suffered several strokes withing the last for years, the last on Dec. 2. Born in Austin, Minn., she was married March 27, 1901, to Ernest A. Phelps. He died in 1930.
Three children, Mrs. Phillips, Verne, of Central City and Corp. Richard Phelps of Spokane, Wash., and three grandchildren survive. Mrs. Phelps was a member of the Methodist church, where she was choir director and organist for many years. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge at Britt, Ia.
Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Monday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church, the Rev. M.C. Melcher officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Clark cemetery.
