Alice Mae Summers, 79, a former Marion resident, died Wednesday afternoon at her home in Ottumwa.
She was born Jan. 4, 1883, in Wisconsin. She was married to Iverson A. Summers at Marion Oct. 11, 1910. Mrs. Summers was a 1900 graduate of Marion high school and taught in the rural schools in this area until her marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Summers moved to Ottumwa 6 years ago from Conesville where they had resided since their marriage.
Surviving are her husband and a brother, Leslie M. Phelps of Marion.
Services: Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Murdoch chapel by the Rev. Ralph E. Baker. Burial: Oak Shade. Friends may call at the chapel after 6:30 p.m. tonight (Thursday).
