FUNERAL RITES HELD HERE FOR MRS. L. BEALL

Former Local Woman Died Sunday In Savanna

Funeral services for Mrs. Izora C. Beall were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, with Dr. J.M. Walters, pastor of the Methodist church, in charge. A quartet composed of Mildred Titus, LaVerna Titus, Darrell Gilmore and W.P. Secrist sang two selections. Pallbearers were A.E. Blinks, W.P. Secrist, J.L. Papes and George Burns.
Interment was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
Izora Clarissa Beall, daughter of Emsley and Jane Craven, was born at Hainsville, Missouri, May 23, 1853 and died July 30, 1933, at Savanna, Ill. at the ago of 80 years, two months and seven days. She was united in marriage to Rev. James Martin Beall on Feb. 22, 1874, who with a daughter, Ertie and a son, William preceded her in death.
Mrs. Beall was a member of the Methodist church from early womanhood and had been a member of the Eastern Star. During Mr. Beall's lifetime she lived in numerous parishes in Iowa, but for 28 years she resided in Marion. The last five years she lived with her daughter, Hazel, in Savanna, Ill.
Those from out-of-town attending the services were Mrs. Frank Covey, Mrs. Herman Bimm, Mrs. Fred Hungerford, Mrs. John Moore, Mrs. Harry Hummer, Miss Dorothy Hummel, Mrs. Frank Moore, Mrs. Lee Foster, Mrs. Violet Nehrhorn, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Nehrhorn, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Phillips, Miss Cayula Phillips, all of Savanna, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Roand [sic] Ducos and son, Janes, of Chesteron, Ind.; Arlene Beall, Elizabeth Beall, Ray Beall, and Mrs. Pearl Gifford of Cedar Rapids; Otto Beall of Des Moines, and Mr. and Mrs. Ola Myers of Central City.
Mrs. Beall is survived by three daughters and three sons: Mrs. Lora Maxson, of Marion; Mrs. George Phillips, of Savanna; Mrs. Gladys Duclos, of Cesterton, Ind.; L.I. Beall of Washington D.C.; Otto, of Des Moines, and Clifford, of Marion.
She is also survived by one brother, C.L. Craven of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Newton of Missouri City, Mo., and Mrs. Lulu Back of North Kansas City, Mo. There are also 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
