Myrtle A. O'Brien, 93, of Fifth Avenue Care Center, Cedar Rapids, and a resident of Marion since 1955, died at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, March 1 at 8:10 a.m. She was born the daughter of Noble and Elizabeth Hawk Gooley on Nov. 26, 1889 at Marion. She was married to E.F. O'Brien who died Oct. 9, 1945. Mrs. O'Brien had been employed by a clothing company; and attended the Marion Christian Church. Surviving are nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Gooley; and three sisters, Chris Guzzle, Flo Klumph and Sue Guzzle. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Adcock. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
