M.P. Reinheimer Former Drayman Dies Saturday
Michael P. Reinheimer, 584 Seventh Ave., passed away at 8:55 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at a Cedar Rapids nursing home.
He was born June 6, 1875 on a farm near Marion the youngest of nine children born to Valentine and Pauline Reinheimer. Mr. Reinheimer was one of Marion's first draymen later changing to trucks.
He was married August 28, 1906 at Marion to Mattie Thompson. She passed away in Marion in August 1909. One June 6, 1912 he was married to Minnie Romal Sutzin who survives. He was for many years a member of the Volunteer Fire department.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children: Archie D. Reinheimer of Marion, Mrs. Thomas (Margaret) Ondrus of Wayne, Mich., and Mrs. Donale (Ornetta) Donnan of Marion, eight grandchildren and a brother, John Reinheimer of Ackley.
Memorial services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. Jean P. Hauter. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
