George T. Schultz, 59, a life-long resident Marion resident, passed away Sunday morning, June 30 in a Marion Nursing Home. He was born the son of Fred and Ada Elizabeth Thompson Schultz on June 13, 1904, at the family home, 1252 14th ave. in Marion He was associated with his father in the well known horseradish business until 1956. After his father's death, Mr. Schultz was employed in the restaurant business in Cedar Rapids.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Herman (Hazel) Hackert of Central City. He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell and a sister Sylvia Schultz.
Services were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 1963, at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion conducted by Rev. Howard Potter, pastor of the Free Methodist Church. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery.
