MY MOTHER
When other loves have failed to shine,
And things of earth all seem less fine,
When skies look black and never blue,
Women seem false and men untrue.
When Mother Nature seems, some way
To hide her beauties once our stay;
When other trifles, things of worth;
Fail to sustain us on this earth;
When comfort seem to take their flight
Along our paths of shadow, light
As across life's sea I am sailing,
I've found a love that is unfailing;
A love that always stands the test
A love that always is the best;
All unsurpassed by any other,
The true, unchanging love of mother.
