George Martin Thompson, a life long resident of Linn county, died at his home, 649 West Eighth avenue, Marion, Sunday at 10:15 a.m., following a long illness.
He was born on a farm near Palo on May 24, 1869, the son of Warren C. and Christian [sic] Keller Thompson, and never married. A twin brother, Charles Thompson, of Marion, is now the last survivor of a family of ten children. Four brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Yocom chapel, with the Rev. W.J. Trimble in charge. Burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
