Mrs. L.E. Morrow, a resident of Marion for many years, died at the family home 468 Fourteenth street, Saturday evening, Aug 28, following a stroke of apoplexy, suffered Monday, Aug 23, from which she never regained consiousness [sic], and which followed several years of ill health.
Mary Ellen Bloom was born in Pennsylvania, May 21, 1858. She was married at the home of her parents in Otter Creek, Iowa, May 16, 1882 to L.E. Morrow. To them were born two children, Ralph Calvin, who died Jan. 17, 1910, and Caroline Ethel wife of Walter Knapp of Robins. Beside her husband and daughter she is survived by two grandchildren, Ralph Irvin and Corrine Mary Knapp of Robins.
Mrs. Morrow, who was a great lover of flowers, spent many happy hours working amonk [sic] them in her home and garden. They were every where about her.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the home. Reverand [sic] W.E. Fisher, pastor of the Presbyterian church was in charge of the service. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
