E.F. Owen died Wednesday morning at St. Luke's hospital, where he had been ill for a week. He was taken seriously ill while in Cedar Rapids, and was removed at once to the hospital. His health has not been good since he suffered a long illness a few years ago. Mr. Owen has been a resident of Marion for abouty [sic] twenty years and for many years was a traveling salesman for a wholesale drug firm. He was born in Dodgeville, Wis., in 1864, and was married to Miss Anna McDaniel in 1893. His wife and one son, Ellis, survive him. The son has been in Los Angeles, Cal., and is expected home, but until certain of the time of his arrival, the funeral arrangements will not be completed.
