The Marion Register Friday February 14, 1908
The funeral of Mrs. Walter S. Howard was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Owen Wednesday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. m.E. Hutton, pastor of the Congregational Church. Appropriate music was furnished by a quartette [sic] composed of Mrs. V.G. Shumack, Miss Blanche Kerr, James E. Bromwell and Frank Buzza. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery. There were many beautiful floral offerings.
