Richard Lee, a resident of Marion for 40 years, died early Tuesday at his home 545 Central avenue, Marion, following a brief illness.
He was born in Canada June 12, 1879 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lee, and came to the United States at the age of 11, coming to Marion from Merle, Wis., in 1904. He was an employe [sic] of the Iowa Manufacturing company.
He was married in Marion to Ethel R. Thompson, who survives, on October 23, 1906. To this union was born a son and a daughter, Charles Richard Lee, of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Raymond Bonebrak, of Marion. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Rose Mary and Thomas Richard Lee and Raymond Guy Bonebrake.
Funeral services were held this Thursday p.m. at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. H.J. Trimble in charge of the service. Burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
