Harry E. Liddle died Saturday morning at the disabled veterans hospital at Des Moines, after a two years' illness. He has lived most of his life in Marion, won his education in local schools, and for many years was employed by the Milwaukee as an engineer.
He was an overseas veteran of the World war, enlisting early in the 13th Railway Engineers, and was a member of American Legion post No. 298. At the time of his illness he was employed by the Iowa Electric Light and Power company.
He was born September 5, 1884, to Charles and Sarah Liddle, and is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Lodenstein, and one granddaughter, and by one brother and three sisters, Fred Liddle and Mrs. L.J. Burrows of Marion, Mrs. A.C. Law of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Harry Conger of Mobridge, S.D.
Funeral services will be held Monday at the Yocom chapel, with Rev. E.T. Gough, of the Methodist church, in charge.
