Christine M. Beiber Died Monday; Native Of Skave, Denmark
Christine Marie Beiber died at her home, 1309 Ninth street, Marion, Monday evening, August 6 at 9:15 o'clock, following a long illness. She was born January 8, 1887, at Skave, Denmark, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jens S. Nielson, who survive, and are now residents of Marion. The family came to the United States and to Marion in 1900 and this has been their home since. She was married December 16, 1905, in Marion, to J. Alva Beiber. Besides the husband, four children survive—Mrs. Sylvia Dochterman, of Marion, Mrs. Gladys Brown of Pathogue, Long Island, N. Y., Willard A. Beiber and Mrs. Virginia Price of Marion. A daughter, Luetta, died in 1912, at the age of two years. There are seven grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters—Mrs. Martha Bettenbender of Coggon, Mrs. Clara Domer of Springville and Mrs. Ida Martin of Marion; and four brothers—Oscar Neilson, Ruthven; Hary Neilson, Rowley; Otto and Harry Neilson, of Marion. She was connected with the Marion Christian church. Funeral services were held this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Yocom chapel in charge of the Rev. J. J. Snyder of Greeley. The bearers were Earl Bettenbender, Ivan Domer, Albert Martin, Otto Nielson, Harley Nielson and Harry Nielson. Burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
