Marion Woman Passes Away
Dorothy M. Drexler Toms, 57, of Marion died of cancer Sept. 17, in St. Luke's hospital.
She was born daughter of Ralph and Dorothy Kling Drexler on Jan. 28, 1929 at Coggon. She married Joe Toms on Oct. 14, 1950 at Cedar Rapids. She was employed as a proofreader for the Linn County Penny Saver. She was a member of the Zion Presbyterian church in Coggon.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Ralph and Brett, and a daughter, Jenny, all of Marion, and a sister, Mary Jacks of Kennett Square, Pa.
Preceeding her in death were her parents and a twin sister, Donna.
Services were Friday, Sept. 19, at Murdoch Chapel in Marion. Rev. Ted Coleman of United Parish church, Coggon, officiated. Burial was at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established: American Cancer Society, 603 10th Street S.E., Cedar Rapids 52401.
