Lisbon - Funeral services for Russell R. Gibbons, 65, were conducted by the Rev. Omar Pettersen at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lisbon on Sunday, at 2:30 p.m.

Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville. Pallbearers were: John Koppenhaver, Raymond Puffer, Claude Ferguson, David Ferguson, Harold Owens and Ellis Andre.

Mr. Gibbons died at the Springville Nursing Home on April 30, following a series of strokes.

He was born at Churdan on Nov. 29, 1899, to Louis and Carrie Crone Gibbons. His early life was spent in the Estherville and Spirit Lake area. On Oct. 6, 1949 he was married to Pearl Nolan of Lisbon. They resided in the Lisbon area until they went to Springville a few months ago. Mr. Gibbons was a carpenter until he gave up work because of his health.

Surviving are his wife Pearl, cousins and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ray.
