Sauncy Friebel, widow of Paul G. Friebel, and a resident of Cedar Rapids for 54 years, died at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. James. W. Sloan, 1542 Seventh Street SE, at 8 am, Sunday following a sudden illness. Mrs. Friebel was born July 31, 1859, at Dunleith, Ill.

Surviving in addition to the daughter are two sons; Bertram P. of Manchester and Carl G. of Detroit, and a grandson, Carl Leroy Friebel, also of Detroit.

She was a member of the First Congressional Church and Cedar chapter No. 184, O.E.S.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at 1:30 pm Wednesday by the Rev. J. Richard Wagner, pastor of First Congressional, and the Cedar chapter O.E.S. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
