Clarence Knoebel, 72, of 807 N Street SW, died Friday. He was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids.

Born May 22, 1903, he was married March 21, 1953, to Pearl Mae Houke. Prior to his retirement, he was employed 46 years at Wilson and Co.

Mr. Knoebel was a member of the First Baptist church, the Crescent Masonic lodge, the Cedar Rapids consistory, the El Kahir Shrine, and the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a stepson Vernon Petranek, New London, Conn.; one brother Walter Knoebel, Cedar Rapids; one sister, Margaret Monscrip, Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 am Monday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Wayne Shireman of the First Baptist Church. Burial: Cedar Memorial cemetery. Masonic services will be conducted by Crescent lodge. All Master Masons are asked to meet at the chapel at 10:15 am, Monday. Visitation at Cedar Memorial funeral home after 9 am Monday. Friends may, if they wish, contribute to the Shriners Cripple Children’s fund.
