PIONEER IOWA WOMAN DIES AT CENTRAL CITY
CENTRAL CITY--Funeral services for Mrs. William Goldsberry, 85, who died Saturday night will be held at 2:30 Tuesday with burial in Mount Clark Cemetery. The Rev. C.F. Straiton of Lisbon will officiate.
As Lucena Jordan Haskell, whe was born July 31, 1853, in Danville, Maine, a daughter of Samuel and Loann Haskell. She was married in 1880 to William Goldsberry and they started housekeeping on a farm south of Central City. Here their two daughters, Peral and Ina, were born; and it continued to be the family home until 1912 when Mr. Goldsberry retired from the farm and purchased a home in town. Mrs. goldsberry was a member of the Baptist church until its federation with the Congregational church, and had been an active worker in the organization, esepecially in the Good Will Sunday school class. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are Mr Goldsberry, two daughters, Pearl, a teacher in the Centerville schools, and Mrs Herbert Penly of Waterloo. There are five grandchildren
