Mrs. Carl Schmickle
Elsie V. Schmickle, 73, of 615 H avenue NW, widow of Carl Schmickle, died Monday following a long illness. Born July 7, 1903 in Center Point, she had lived in Cedar Rapids since 1936. She was married to Mr. Schmickle in 1921.
Survivors are a daughter, Betty Randall, West Melbourne, Fla; four sons, Virgil and Carl jr., both of Cedar Rapids; Richard, Center Point, and Marshall, Oskaloosa; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services: Turner chapel west at 1:30 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Roy J. MacIntosh. Burial: Center Point cemetery. Friends may call at Turner west.
