Blanche M. Goody, 89, of 2925 Adirondack Dr. NE, died Sunday, Aug 31, 1997, in her daughter's home following a long illness. Services, 3 pm Thursday, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, by the Rev. Ed Gregory. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 3 pm Thursday. Burial in the Linwood Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Salter and husband, Stewart L. Jr., of Cedar Rapids; a son, Richard R. Goody and wife, Vera, of Nassau Bay, TX; five grandchildren, Stewart R. Salter of Hiawatha, Renea Salter Solmonson of Cedar Rapids, Scott A. Salter of Cedar Rapids, Richard Ralph Goody, Jr. of Alvin, TX., and Michael Goody of Garland, TX; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Ralph; two brothers, Elmer and Clarence LeVora; and four sisters, Arlene Vermace, Dorothy Goody, Betty Means and Elenora Dawson.
Born 28 Feb 1908, in Chicago, Ill to Thomas and Antonette Fiella LeVora, she married Ralph Francis Goody on Nov 14, 1930, in Kahoka, Mo. He died 18 Jan 1997.
