Aaron L. Abbey, brother of G. C. Abbey and Mrs. Joseph Hunter, of this city, died in Prairieburg, Iowa, Dec. 10, of pneumonia and pleurisy. Deceased was born in Hamburg, Erie Co., New York, May 21, 1844, and came to Andrew in 1852. He enlisted in the 5th Iowa Cavalry, Co. H., in March 1864. He was a member of the G. A. R. Post, of Central City, and also a member of the M. E. church and Epworth League. He leaves behind three brothers and three sisters to mourn their loss. – Excelsior.
