Ralph Howard Norris, 67, of 433 26th St. NW died Thursday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City following a long illness.

Born Jan 1, 1912, at Montezuma, he was married to Irene Freese on Sept. 12, 1933, at Brooklyn. Mr Norris retired after 23 years as a carpenter. He was a 20-year resident of Cedar Rapids and had served in the Navy during World War II. He was affiliated with the Carpenters Local No. 308 of Cedar Rapids.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Gary of Columbus, Ind., and Michael of Cedar Rapids; five sisters, Ina Price of Albuquerque, N.M., Grace Cookston of Elma, Wash., Mary Chapman of Upton WY., Naomi Price of Brooklyn and Lila Johnston of Gering, Neb.; and two grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Turner Chapel West by the Rev. Richard Ernst. Burial: 1:30 P.M. Saturday at I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Brooklyn.
