He Brought Her Along

Mr. Jacob Bollenbaugh of our town, went away last week, and returned on Thursday evening of this week, bringing with him Miss Sarah M. Steffa of Ogle County, Illinois, former student of Western College. The truth is they are married.

July 1, 1863

Died In The Army

Since our last issue the following citizens of our town have died from wounds in the Army: Jacob Bollenbaugh, B. F. Berger, G. F. Heminger.
The green earth was never stained with nobler blood.
The Lord sustain their bereft friends.
