FROM ALL OVER IOWA
While returning from the picnic at the Iowa River on the interurban Sunday night, George Heil was the victim of a painful accident. As he was swinging off the car it seems that someone stepped on his foot, causing him to lose his balance. He fell and the left foot got under the wheels and was mangled and crushed. He was taken to Mercy Hospital. It was found that the only thing that could be done was to take the leg off about midway between the knee and the ankle.
